What traders took from volume and breakout confirmation training with Module Test.
Short notes from the room
I booked the full-day workshop after three failed breaks on mid-cap names. The volume dry-up drill before lunch was the part that stuck — I now wait for a second push more often.
Evening reviews keep me honest about overnight gaps. James will say when the room is forcing a story that the prints do not support. Occasionally the hour feels short if several people submit charts.
Private coaching went through a sterling break I had already taken. Elena marked where volume never confirmed. Uncomfortable to rewatch, but I tightened my invalidation rule the next week.
Clear teaching, no hype. I still prefer more US index examples than the FTSE-heavy pack, though the method transferred once I practised at home.
Extended story: workshop week in March
Priya’s false-break journal
Priya arrived with a notebook of eight breakouts from the prior quarter — six losers. During the afternoon live window she applied the checklist to a FTSE name approaching resistance. Volume into the level was fading; she sat out. The break printed, then reversed within the hour. In her follow-up note she wrote that the win was “not taking the trade,” which is exactly the outcome the curriculum aims for.
She later booked two coaching sessions to adapt the checklist to thinner AIM listings, where participation is noisier. Progress was uneven on the thinnest names — something we flag openly in the workshop: some boards never give clean volume tells.
Marcus and the unfinished cable break
Marcus joined private coaching sceptical that volume would add much beyond what he already watched on the five-minute chart. We spent most of one session on a GBPUSD move that cleared a London high on average volume only. He had entered; the session framed why a retest without expansion was a warning. His reservation: the coaching fee is steep for a single ninety minutes if you arrive without charts prepared. We now stress the pre-send requirement more clearly on booking.
