Workshop

Volume & Breakout Confirmation Workshop

A full-day classroom session that walks through volume signatures at support and resistance before you treat a break as real.

Who it is for

Active and returning traders who already place discretionary trades and want a clearer rule for when a breakout is backed by participation. You should be comfortable reading candlestick charts; we do not teach broker basics or platform buttons.

Result you work toward

By the end of the day you can mark a level, describe the volume behaviour into and through that level, and decide whether the break is unfinished, confirmed, or better left alone. You leave with a one-page confirmation checklist tailored to the markets you named on your enquiry.

What is included

  • Morning lecture on volume expansion, contraction, and climax around horizontal levels
  • Guided mark-up of historical FTSE and major FX examples from our chart library
  • Afternoon live-chart review during the London session (recorded if markets are quiet)
  • Printed workbook and digital copy of the confirmation checklist
  • Tea, coffee, and a light lunch on site

What is not included

Trade signals, managed accounts, or guaranteed outcomes. We also do not cover options Greeks, fundamental macro forecasting, or automated strategy coding.

How the day runs

  1. Settle and context — markets you trade, timeframes, and recent breakouts that failed or held.
  2. Volume vocabulary — relative volume, dry-up into a level, and the difference between a break on thin prints versus rising participation.
  3. Case drills — you annotate charts before we reveal the subsequent bars.
  4. Live window — apply the checklist to current boards; stand aside when evidence is mixed.
  5. Personal checklist — refine your rules for entry timing, invalidation, and when to wait for a retest.

Preparation

Bring three recent charts from your own journal where a break either worked or failed. Screenshots or printed sheets are fine. No software licence is required for the classroom day.
